The Price is Right on the Cutting Edge
The Price Institute of Surgical Research and its eight laboratories are committed to bringing the latest surgical advances from the bench to the bedside. Our investigators remain on the cutting edge of improving surgical techniques and medical therapies for a variety of diseases and conditions affecting the surgical patient.
Shedding New Light
Price researchers continue to shed new light on our understanding of tissue injury resulting from ischemia, the causes of infection, the genetic predisposition underlying the development of inflammatory bowel disease, earlier diagnosis of a variety of cancers, and how to improve microsurgical techniques for reconstructive hand surgery, among other areas.
Work in progress concerning both the underlying causes of infection in humans and the body's defense against infection places the Institute among the world's leaders in these investigations.
